Evelyn M. Panek, 83, of Janesville, WI died Monday, February 27, 2012 at St. Mary’s hospital, Madison. Evelyn was born in Chicago, IL on September 18, 1928, the daughter of Raymond and Marie Ejka. She married Theodore E. “Ted” Panek on August 18, 1951. Evelyn was formerly employed as a secretary by C.N.A. Finance. She had been a Janesville area resident the past 4 years, previously residing in Lake Geneva, WI for 20 years,  moving there from the Chicago area.
Surviving are her husband, Theodore, one daughter, Catherine (John) Evans of Bull Valley, IL, three grandchildren, Ryan William Evans, Devon Marie (Jeffrey) Bezaire and Jordan John Evans. Her parents preceded her in death.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 1, 2012 at St. William Catholic Church, 456 N. Arch St., Janesville. Father James Kuhn will officiate. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the Church. The Panek family is being assisted by Henke-Clarson Funeral Home. www.henkeclarson.com.
